Chairs and tables and stools with tall chairs are the decor. Plain, simple, but very relaxing. The television might have been slightly loud, but that was OK. Food presentation is in a basket. How else does one eat a Philly Cheese Steak? Food quality is very good! We were born and raised on the East Coast - in the South Philly area in Delaware - so we know what a cheese steak tastes like! Outside of the Philadelphia area, this is it! Service is good, but those taking the orders, should be well informed about the product. The costs range from $6.25 for a 7" sandwich to $8.45 for a 12" sandwich. The fries are extremely good and the potato chips are made fresh when you order them. We had the Philly Cheese Steak (The Classic) which was "just the way it should be". Meat was chopped and the onions and peppers were sautéed. Our only comments are that they could stand to put some more grilled onion in the mixture and Provolone cheese should be used and not Swiss. The roll was warm, crunchy on the edges and tender in the center.
This is a tough one! It really should be 4-Stars, but we need to try the other items on the menu. And we will. This is not a franschise restaurant - this is the only store. We will definitely return! If they add more grilled onion and change to Provolone Cheese in The Classic, there is no reason why this should not be a solid 4-Star rating.
OK. There is the 4th Star. We returned 11 December and had a Cheese Steak with Mushrooms, but we had them add more onions and use provolone cheese. They did this and the sandwich was awesome. Their potato chips are also worth getting.
